In case of the Breach on the part of the Company

of any of the stipulations herein contained, and to

become void.

Austin, Colonial Secretary of Hong Kong, on behalf

behalf of the Company, have hereunder set their

hands this 12th. day of June, one thousand eight

All the ends of the above Cables are landed in the same

bay (Kailungwan, near Pokfulam) and brought inte the

Block House there, mentioned in the Agreement of 13th.

Permissions by the Governor of Hong Kong in Council

were from time to time given under letter from the

Colonial Secretary of Hong Kong to the Eastern

Extension, Australasia and Chine Telegraph Company

Limited to land the folowing additional Submarine

Telegraph Cables upon the terms and conditions of

the Agreement of 12th. June 1871 upon which the

previous Cable (II) to Saigon was laid viz:-

(a) Submarine Telegraph Cable to Manila

(formerly Cape Bolinao).

(b) Submarine Telegraph Cable to Shanghai

(now Foochow)

In reply to your letter of the 30th. ultimo

asking for permission to land the Macao Cable at your

Cable House at Pokfulam, I have the honour by direction

--

of the Governor in Council, to inform you that His

Excellency has been pleased to grant your request on

the same conditions on which your other Cables were

landed.
